Strong leaders recognize that teamwork is essential for a company's success! | Anne Urban, President and CEO Before founding DPC, Ms. Urban worked 22 years in the hotel industry serving in a variety of management positions including: Regional Director of Operations, General Manager, Regional Director of Sales, Director of Sales, Corporate Sales Trainer. Ms. Urban worked 5 years as Director of Convention Sales & Marketing for the Jacksonville and the Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau. Ms. Urban was responsible for the management of the sales personnel and the services department for the CVB. The services department serviced over 900 groups per year in the North Florida region. Ms. Urban has had a strong presence in the following territories: Washington, DC (18 years), Jacksonville (14 years), Atlanta (9 years) and Tallahassee (7 years). Ms. Urban is the 2005-2006 Chapter President of the North Florida Chapter of Meeting Professional International . She has served in many leadership roles in the Jacksonville community to include: Chairman of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Beaches Division, President of North Florida Chapter of HSMAI, Board Member of Executive Women International and President of SKAL International Jacksonville Chapter. | |  | Steve Urban, Vice-President of Quality Assurance and Operations Steve Urban is Director of Quality Assurance and Operations for Destination Planning Corporation (DPC). Urban’s responsibilities include quality assurance, contractual negotiations, information technology, systems development and strategic business development. Prior to this assignment, Urban was General Manager of J & J Imports and Fabrication, an $8 mil importer and fabrication business and a primary regional installation contractor for The Home Depot. Urban joined Destination Planning Corporation in 2007 although he has been involved on a consulting basis since the company's inception. Urban is a Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor and has developed several companies in both operations and quality management positions throughout his career. Urban’s expertise in the areas of operations and quality has enabled DPC to improve its bottom line through efficiencies implemented during his tenure. He is involved in community activities and is an active member of Rotary International. | |  | | Jennifer Bates, Director of Event Design As the director of the creative design team at DPC for nearly 5 years, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing hundreds of events per year, both large and small, which she personally works to create. Getting her start in the hospitality and hotel industry over a decade ago, Jennifer consistently strives to grow her talents by creating unique, customized concepts. She has been nominated for several awards, was named as one of BizBash Magazine’s “Top 20 Under 40” in 2006, and is recognized industry-wide for her designs. Using techniques that incorporate floral, fabric, texture, and lighting, Jennifer makes event décor a true art form! |
|  | Nicole Hernandez, Orlando Event Director Nicole Hernandez, Senior Event Design Manager, came into Destination Planning Corporation with an extensive background in corporate and social event planning, and brought her passion for Event Design to her position. Nicole got her start working at the EDC of Metro Orlando handling events such as inaugural dinners for the Mayor, International summits, and local government funded events. After realizing her creative potential, she moved onto the premier décor company in Florida where she handled 100s of events each year with her attention to detail and eye for design. After spending the past two years with Destination Planning, Nicole has custom designed events for Eli Lily, Bausch and Lomb, Energizer, Shell Oil, and many other fantastic corporations. Her non-profit work has been with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida and the Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation of Jacksonville. Masterfully creating events that have a style all of their own has been the exciting facet of her work at Destination Planning.
